In a heartfelt reflection, American artist and worship leader Jordan G. Welch shared her profound experiences from a recent trip to South Africa—a journey she describes as “unforgettable in more ways than one.” While still processing the depth of the experience, Jordan took to social media to honor the remarkable individuals she encountered and collaborated with during her time there.
Jordan’s tribute is a mosaic of gratitude, creativity, and deep spiritual connection. She begins by praising JustHlo Mohlala and Lady Lovebug, thanking them for their love, support, and the levity they brought into intense moments. “From minute 1, your love, support, comedy, genuine due diligence and excellence did wonders,” she shared.
She affectionately dubbed Cya and Sne the “Wonder Twins” for their unmatched excellence and kindness. Jordan specifically thanked Cya for her leadership as Managing Director, calling her a powerhouse not to be underestimated. She also showed love to Sne, calling him her “bougie brother” and highlighting the strength of their bond.
Musically, Jordan found herself surrounded by giants. From Khaya Mthethwa’s spiritual musicality—“you made creativity in worship atmospheres easy”—to the “kind soul and excellent drummer” Sir Smiley Ntosh, and Frank Mavhimira, whose guitar work she likened to a “chef’s kiss,” the synergy was powerful.
To the vocalists, whom she lovingly calls “my angels”—Fatso Mabushe, Precious Mercy Luthuli, Wazi Khuzwayo, Nomcebo Portia, Mkhethwa, and Fafaa—Jordan expressed awe and affection. “Your voices are [incredible], but your hearts are even more amazing!” she wrote. “We are knit together. God did the miraculous through you all!”
She also gave special thanks to Chyvonne K, Above Only Films, and Mahnyka, whom she credited with being foundational to the success of the trip. “Couldn’t do ANY of this without your support, your presence, your diligence, your intuition, and your grace and strength.”
In a world that often moves too fast to truly acknowledge the beauty of collaboration, Jordan’s message is a poignant reminder of the power of human connection—rooted in faith, creativity, and mutual respect. Her parting words? “God did it. He really did it. And we are eternally grateful for what is just the beginning!”
And yes—she gave a fashionable nod to South Africa, closing with a shoutout to Candice Modiselle for the “BEAUTIFUL GARMENT” from TOL Thema.
If Jordan’s words are any indication, this trip wasn’t just a professional milestone—it was a spiritual one. And while she may have missed out on a group picture, the memories and impact of her time in South Africa are clearly etched in her heart forever.
