Sipho Makhabane, affectionately known as “The Big Fish,” has been a cornerstone in South Africa’s gospel music scene, not only as a celebrated artist but also as a mentor and producer who has shaped the careers of numerous gospel talents. Makhabane’s journey began in the late 1990s, with his first talent search in Swaziland. He discovered and developed groups like UShongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group, Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, and France Dlamini. These early successes laid the foundation for his future endeavors in South Africa.

In South Africa, Makhabane continued his mission by mentoring artists such as Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Thobekile Mkhwanazi, Israel Mosehla, and Tshepiso Motaung.
