Andile KaMajola Stays Focused on Dream of Filling Moses Mabhida Stadium After 27 Years in Gospel Music

Legendary South African gospel artist Andile KaMajola is still holding on to one of the biggest dreams of his career, filling Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The multi award winning singer has made it clear that he has not given up on this goal, even after decades in the music industry. His ambition is to become the first gospel artist to host a fully packed stadium concert at the iconic KwaZulu Natal venue. While the goal remains alive, he has chosen a patient approach as he continues to work on projects that he believes are building blocks toward that moment. After 27 years in gospel music, he says his journey continues to bring him blessings, recognition and purpose.

At this stage of his career, Andile KaMajola has shifted his focus to long term growth rather than rushing into large scale events. He has explained that he is currently involved in different projects that he views as part of a bigger plan. One of the most significant highlights for him has been being invited by Joyous Celebration to perform during the Joyous Celebration 30 Tour. Sharing a stage with one of the most respected gospel groups in Africa has reinforced his position in the industry and added to his legacy. He described the opportunity as a blessing that confirmed his continued relevance and influence in gospel music.

Despite his long standing dream of filling Moses Mabhida Stadium, Andile is now more cautious about timing and preparation. He has openly acknowledged that earlier attempts taught him important lessons about patience and planning. In 2015, he recorded the DVD for his album Nanoma Niyangibona with the intention of filling the stadium, but the turnout did not meet expectations. Instead of viewing the experience as a failure, he sees it as a turning point that shaped his current mindset. He now believes that not every vision is meant to happen immediately and that timing plays a critical role in success.

His reflection on that moment has influenced how he approaches major decisions today. Andile has stated that he understands that human plans do not always align with what he believes are divine plans. The experience did not weaken his faith but strengthened his patience and resilience. He has chosen to take things step by step instead of forcing large scale outcomes. This shift in perspective has helped him remain grounded while continuing to grow his ministry and music career.

Beyond live performances and career milestones, Andile KaMajola has also focused on preserving his musical legacy through written work. His hymn book titled Uhambo LwamaHubo, which features more than 400 of his songs, has been well received by fans and followers. The book reflects his journey in gospel music and captures the spiritual messages behind his compositions. He explained that the purpose of the book is to guide listeners through his musical path while preserving messages of faith, worship and testimony. He also believes it will serve future generations who want to understand his contribution to gospel music.

As the founder of Durban based All Nations Cathedral International Church, Andile’s influence extends beyond music into ministry. His songs often reflect themes of healing, praise and spiritual transformation. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation through powerful tracks such as UJehova Ungibiyele, Ngendlala Indumiso and Ebukhoneni BeNkosi. These songs have played a major role in shaping his career and have earned him recognition across South Africa’s gospel music industry. His work has also been honoured through awards including the Crown Gospel Music Awards and entries into the SABC Song of the Year competition.

Even with these achievements, his dream of filling Moses Mabhida Stadium remains a driving force. He continues to believe that the vision will come to life when the timing is right and when all necessary elements align. His approach now is based on patience, preparation and faith rather than urgency. He sees each project, performance and collaboration as part of a larger journey toward that goal. This mindset allows him to stay active in the industry while remaining focused on long term impact.

Andile KaMajola’s story reflects persistence, humility and strong belief in purpose driven success. His journey shows that dreams in the music industry often require time, growth and resilience before they are fully realised. While Moses Mabhida Stadium remains his ultimate target, he continues to build his legacy through music, ministry and mentorship. His message to fans is clear through both words and actions, progress takes time and every step matters. As he continues his career, supporters remain hopeful that one day his long held dream of filling the Durban stadium will become a historic reality.
