Gospel Collective Omega Circle Releases “Ungasabi” Video, Building on Regional Viral Success of “Ngembathe”

Homegrown gospel collective Omega Circle has released the music video for “Ungasabi,” the latest single from their EP Spirit Lift Me, continuing a run of releases that have found strong footing with audiences across the region. The video’s release follows the sustained popularity of the group’s previous single, “Ngembathe,” which has generated more than 3000 video posts from fans using the track as an everyday soundtrack — a level of organic engagement that speaks to how deeply the song has embedded itself in daily life for many.

“Ungasabi” builds on that same emotional accessibility but pushes further into vulnerability. The video’s opening three minutes depict scenes of real, recognizable hardship: job loss, grief, unemployment, depression, illness, hunger, and financial ruin — struggles that will feel immediately familiar to many viewers navigating similar pressures. These scenes play out against the song’s central refrain: “Ungasabi, ungalahli ithemba… don’t be afraid, He is the Redeemer, He will never forsake you.”

The video’s final stretch, just under two minutes, shifts into scenes of recovery and celebration — therapy, prayer, graduations, first homes and cars, reconciled relationships, new love, and growing families. For a regional audience where faith often plays a central role in how communities process hardship, the video’s structure — pain followed deliberately by restoration — is likely to resonate on a deeply personal level.

A member of the Omega Circle collective spoke about the motivation behind the release: “We are really excited to showcase this music video for Ungasabi. The video shows a lot of life vulnerabilities, people going through difficult times and finally things starting to look up and get better, which speaks to God being the Redeemer.” They added that the group hopes the project reaches “people who have had to lean on their faith in extremely difficult and taxing times.”

The group also revealed plans to extend the single’s reach through a five-part social media series, with each installment exploring a different theme under the shared message: “Be kind, everyone is fighting a silent battle.” Given how effectively the collective’s previous single spread organically through local social media use, this structured, theme-based rollout could further cement Omega Circle’s growing presence, particularly among younger audiences already engaging with faith-driven content online.

The release also reflects a broader pattern of independent artists in the region using digital-first strategies — social-first video rollouts, relatable storytelling, and community-oriented messaging — to build sustained audiences without traditional label backing. Omega Circle’s trajectory, from “Ngembathe’s” grassroots virality to “Ungasabi’s” more deliberately structured campaign, suggests a collective that is not only creating resonant music but also learning how to scale that resonance intentionally.

The “Ungasabi” music video is available now, with the five-part series expected to follow across the group’s social platforms this week.
