Known for blending heartfelt worship with contemporary African sounds, Omega Circle continues its mission of connecting younger audiences with timeless spiritual music. “Sedilaka” is a moving reinterpretation of a traditional Sotho hymn that carries themes of guidance, faith, and complete dependence on God during uncertain times.
The lyrics read:
“Sedi laka, mponesetse tsela
Ke tsamaye
Ho lefifi, hape ho sebaka
Ntsamaise
Ha o le teng, ha ke batle tsebo
Ya ntho tsohle, wena o ntekane”
Translated loosely, the song speaks of God being the guiding light through darkness and distance, emphasizing that His presence alone is enough.
The release follows the success of Omega Circle’s acclaimed Bambelela EP, which introduced listeners to the collective’s spiritually rich sound and growing creative direction. With Worship 2.0, the group appears ready to deepen that journey by revisiting classic hymns and presenting them through a modern worship lens designed for a new generation.
“Sedilaka” is expected to resonate strongly with both traditional gospel listeners and younger worship audiences who appreciate culturally rooted African spirituality fused with modern production.
As anticipation builds toward the full Worship 2.0 release later this month, “Sedilaka” stands as both a tribute to heritage and a declaration of faith — reminding listeners that even in darkness, divine guidance remains constant.
