Omega Circle Releases Fifth EP “Uyinkosi”, a Six-Track Declaration of Faith

Omega Circle has released its fifth EP, Uyinkosi, and it is now available on all major streaming platforms. The title is Zulu for “He is the Lord”, and the six-track project is the South African gospel group’s most direct statement of faith to date.

The release follows a strong stretch for the group. Its previous EP, Spirit Lift Me, came out in June and carried “Ngembathe”, the biggest single in the Omega Circle catalogue. The song has taken off on TikTok, where it is closing in on 5,000 posts. For a gospel release, that means ordinary people have been choosing this music to soundtrack their own moments, and Uyinkosi has landed in front of an audience that is already listening.

The EP runs across six songs: “Uyinkosi”, “Intando Yakho”, “Don’t Be Afraid”, “Bophelo”, “Hamba!” and “Sedilaka (Live)”. The sound and language range widely. There is worship in Zulu and English, a track built on a well-loved hymn, a hip hop gospel cut with guests, a mission anthem, and a live closer in Sotho.

The opening title track sets the tone. Built around a chorus that repeats “Remember… He is Lord”, it speaks to anyone worn down by a long road. It addresses the weary directly, and that direct address runs through the whole record.

The Cool, a frequent Omega Circle collaborator, is credited on several tracks, including “Don’t Be Afraid” and “Bophelo”. The latter features The Cuzins and moves the EP into hip hop territory. “Sedilaka (Live)” also features The Cool and closes the project on a note of stillness.

Language is central to the identity of Uyinkosi. The EP moves between Zulu, isiXhosa, Sotho and English, sometimes inside a single song. That is how many South Africans actually pray and sing: fluidly, and without treating any one language as the only holy one.

The release marks a new stage for Omega Circle. Five EPs in, the group has built a catalogue that rewards listeners who go deeper than the hit. Each of the six tracks takes a different angle on a single conviction: that God is present, faithful and worthy, whatever the circumstances.

Listeners can stream the full EP now, from the opening title track through to the live closer. Anyone who has followed the group since Spirit Lift Me will find familiar warmth here, and newcomers will find a project that works as an introduction. Fans are encouraged to share their favourite track, save the EP to their libraries and follow Omega Circle for what comes next.
