Hits like “Excess Love,” “Obinasom,” and “Wonder” have not only topped charts but also become anthems of faith and hope. In her heartfelt acceptance speech, she dedicated the award to God and her loyal supporters, stating, “This victory is not just mine but for everyone who believes in the power of gospel music.”

This accolade adds to Mercy’s impressive list of achievements. Her latest album, “Overwhelming Victory,” featuring chart-topping tracks like “Too Many Reasons” and “You Do This One,” has garnered millions of streams, further solidifying her impact on the gospel music scene.

The 2025 Trace Awards highlighted the profound influence of African artists on the global stage. Alongside Mercy Chinwo, other Nigerian artists like Rema, Ayra Starr, and D’banj also received top honors, showcasing the country’s rich musical talent.

Mercy Chinwo’s recognition at the Trace Awards underscores her unwavering dedication to spreading messages of faith and inspiration through her music. As she continues to uplift audiences worldwide, her contributions remain a testament to the power of gospel music in uniting and healing souls.
