Sindi Ntombela Draws Strength from Fans’ Testimonies About Her Music

Gospel singer Sindi Ntombela, 33, says the testimonies she receives from fans about her songs give her life. As a member of Spirit of Praise, Sindi has been moved by the number of people reaching out to share how her music has impacted them.

Her latest single, Ngu Jesu (Bayede), has sparked conversations on social media, with listeners sharing stories of healing, comfort, and spiritual encouragement. Some fans pray for family members, while others credit Sindi’s voice for helping them through difficult times.

Sindi revealed that the song was written by Dumi Mkokstad, who entrusted her with interpreting it. “The best way is how the Holy Spirit interprets it to you,” Mkokstad told her. Sindi said the song preaches to her personally and brings her peace whenever she reflects on it.

She believes her performances resonate deeply because she allows the Holy Spirit to guide her on stage. “The minute I see people, I just want to scream and vibe with them. But when it’s time for me to minister, it’s different. My prayer has been, Lord, may I be less and You be more,” she said.

She admitted to struggling with self-esteem in the past, worrying about appearance or presentation. “He knows my weaknesses. Once I close my eyes and hold that mic, then the voice comes, and I know it’s okay,” she said.

Ngu Jesu (Bayede) is featured on Spirit of Praise 11, and Sindi promises more music and performances ahead. “More singles are coming, most definitely. Having a single that I lead and produce means there’s room for me to grow,” she said. She added that fan response motivates her to pray more and continue delivering powerful worship experiences.
