Mzansi Magic’s latest reality series, Thinah singoZungu, offers viewers an intimate look into the lives of KwaZulu-Natal’s gospel royalty, the Zungu family. Premiering on February 16, 2025, the show delves into the family’s journey of balancing faith, fame, and fortune under the watchful eyes of their community.


At the center of the series is Thinah Zungu, a pastor and celebrated gospel artist known for his deep Christian values and a lifestyle that some might find contradictory. Having risen from humble beginnings to a life of luxury, Thinah believes his success is well-earned, despite facing criticism for his opulent lifestyle.


Joining him is his wife, Zama—also a pastor—who fiercely protects their family and manages their household with unwavering strength. Their three children, Ndumiso, Smanga, and Olwethu, each navigate their paths of self-discovery, striving to establish their identities beyond their parents’ religious expectations. 


Set against the vibrant backdrops of Durban, eNanda, and Umhlanga, Thinah singoZungu showcases the family’s contrasting worlds—from township roots to suburban luxury. The series explores universal themes of family versus fame, humility versus success, and the costs associated with chasing dreams.
